For the Strawberry Lemonade:
- 1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups cold water (divided)
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and strawberry slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine strawberries, sugar, and 2 cups of cold water. Blend until completely smooth.
- Pour mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp.
- Stir in lemon juice and remaining 4 cups cold water.
- Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon and strawberry slices if desired.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of the water with chilled club soda just before serving.
- You can also make this ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
