Description

Refreshing and vibrant, this homemade Strawberry Lemonade is the perfect summer drink. Made with fresh strawberries, zesty lemon juice, and a hint of sweetness, it’s a delightful beverage to cool off on a hot day.


Ingredients

For the Strawberry Lemonade:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries (hulled)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups cold water (divided)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and strawberry slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine strawberries, sugar, and 2 cups of cold water. Blend until completely smooth.
  2. Pour mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds and pulp.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and remaining 4 cups cold water.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon and strawberry slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a sparkling version, replace 2 cups of the water with chilled club soda just before serving.
  • You can also make this ahead and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
