  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the pans: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch round cake pans.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add wet ingredients: Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the sour cream, milk, vanilla extract, and strawberry puree.
  5. Combine wet and dry mixtures: Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix just until combined. Fold in diced strawberries and food coloring.
