  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Stir in oats and chocolate chips: Fold in the oats and chocolate chips.
  7. Bake: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Cool: Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
