For Chocolate Layer:

- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk (from a 14 oz can), divided
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
For Mint Layer:
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Green food coloring (optional)
- Crushed peppermint candies or chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Chocolate Layer: Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Melt semisweet chocolate chips, 1 cup sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tablespoon butter in a saucepan over low heat. Pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Prepare Mint Layer: In another saucepan, melt white chocolate chips with remaining sweetened condensed milk and 1 tablespoon butter. Stir in peppermint extract and green food coloring. Spread over the chocolate layer.
- Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm. Cut into squares and garnish with peppermint candies or chocolate shavings.

- For a richer taste, use bittersweet chocolate instead of semisweet.
