Ingredients
Lasagna Noodles:
12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained;
Meat Sauce:
1 pound ground beef; 1/2 pound Italian sausage; 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce; 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder; 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning; salt and black pepper to taste;
Cheese Mixture:
1 container (15 oz) ricotta cheese; 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened; 1/4 cup sour cream; 1 egg;
Cheeses:
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese; 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese;
Garnish:
chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook Meat: Brown ground beef and Italian sausage in a skillet. Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
- Prepare Cheese Mixture: Combine ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and egg until smooth.
- Layer Ingredients: In a baking dish, layer noodles, cheese mixture, meat sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers and top with Parmesan.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Rest and Garnish: Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley.
