Description

These French Dip Biscuits are a savory twist on the classic French dip sandwich. Tender roast beef and gooey cheese baked inside flaky biscuit cups, served with a flavorful au jus dipping sauce. Perfect for parties or a quick dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Biscuit Cups:

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

For the Au Jus:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the biscuit cups: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin. Press biscuit dough into muffin cups to form a cup shape.
  2. Fill the biscuit cups: Divide roast beef and cheese among the cups.
  3. Prepare the butter mixture: Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley; brush over biscuit tops.
  4. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Make the au jus: Simmer beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, onion powder, and garlic powder in a saucepan.
  6. Serve: Serve the baked biscuits warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Use freshly shaved deli roast beef for best results.
  • Swiss cheese can be substituted for provolone or mozzarella.
  • Great for parties or quick dinners; can be reheated in the oven.
