Description
These French Dip Biscuits are a fun twist on the classic sandwich. Flaky biscuit cups filled with tender roast beef, caramelized onions, and gooey cheese, served with a side of savory au jus for dipping.

For the Biscuits:
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated flaky biscuit dough
For the Filling:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 6 slices provolone cheese, halved
For Topping:
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 packet (1 oz) au jus gravy mix
- 3 cups water
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a muffin tin.
- Caramelize Onions: Sauté onions in olive oil until soft and caramelized. Add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and thyme. Remove from heat.
- Prepare Biscuit Cups: Flatten biscuit dough and press into muffin tin cups. Fill with roast beef, onions, and cheese. Fold dough over filling.
- Top and Bake: Brush biscuits with butter, parsley, and garlic salt. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Make Au Jus: Combine au jus mix with water, simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Serve: Serve biscuits warm with au jus for dipping.
Notes
- You can use homemade biscuit dough as well.
- Feel free to substitute provolone with Swiss or mozzarella cheese.
