For the Biscuit Bake:
- 1 (16 oz) can refrigerated biscuits
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- ½ pound deli roast beef, chopped
- 1½ cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
For Serving:
- 1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé or au jus sauce
- 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Caramelize onions in olive oil and add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, thyme, and pepper. Stir in roast beef until heated.
- Combine Ingredients: Cut biscuits into quarters and mix with beef-onion mixture and 1 cup of cheese. Transfer to baking dish, top with remaining cheese, and brush with melted butter.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown. Warm beef consommé on the stove.
- Serve: Rest bake, garnish with parsley, and serve hot with au jus on the side for dipping.
