Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Let the batter rest for 5–10 minutes to help the pancakes rise better.
- Heat a lightly greased griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2–3 minutes.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden brown, another 1–2 minutes.
- Repeat with the remaining batter.
- Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, beat the egg with the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Notes
- For extra fluffiness, let the batter rest and avoid overmixing.
- Add blueberries or chocolate chips to the batter for a twist.
- Use buttermilk instead of regular milk for a tangier flavor.
