- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- 1/2 cup frozen corn
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
For the Crust:
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the filling: In a skillet, melt butter and sauté onions. Stir in flour, then gradually add broth and milk. Season and add chicken, peas, carrots, and corn. Simmer.
- Fill the pie: Pour filling into a pie dish. Top with crust, trim, crimp edges, and make slits. Brush with egg wash.
