Main Casserole:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, with juice
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for sautéing)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook Beef: In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until browned. Add garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Add Ingredients: Stir in ketchup, mustard, tomatoes, broth, macaroni. Simmer until pasta is slightly tender.
- Add Cheese: Stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese and milk. Transfer to baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
- Bake: Bake for 15–20 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted. Let sit before serving.
