Ingredients

Scale

Apples:

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges each)

Dough:

  • 2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

Sauce:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 oz) can lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7UP)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the dumplings: Wrap each apple wedge in a crescent roll triangle. Place in the baking dish.
  3. Make the sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, add sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon. Pour over the dumplings. Pour soda around the dumplings.
  4. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
