Description

These Easter Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delightful treat perfect for the spring season. Packed with chocolate chips, pastel M&M’s, and a hint of vanilla, these cookies are sure to be a hit at any Easter gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Mix-ins:

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel-colored M&M’s (Easter-themed)
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • Optional sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add mix-ins: Fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and M&M’s.
  7. Scoop and bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Press extra M&M’s or sprinkles on top of each dough ball.
  8. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
