For the Oatmeal:
- 2 cups steel-cut oats
- 6 cups milk (or almond milk)
- 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- ½ cup brown sugar (or honey)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon salt
For Toppings:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
- ½ cup strawberry preserves (optional for extra sweetness)
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (for serving)

Instructions
- Grease the slow cooker: Coat the inside of a slow cooker with nonstick spray or butter.
- Combine ingredients: In the slow cooker, mix oats, milk, cream, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt. Stir well.
- Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours (or high for 3 to 4 hours), stirring occasionally.
- Add strawberries: Just before serving, stir in sliced strawberries and optional preserves.
- Serve: Spoon oatmeal into bowls, top with Greek yogurt and extra strawberries.
