Ingredients
Scale
Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites:
- 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Dredge and Coat: Dredge each mozzarella cube in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere. Repeat for a double coating if desired for extra crispiness.
- Freeze: Place coated cubes on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes to prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
- Fry: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mozzarella bites in batches for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
- For a baked version, place bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
