Description

These Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites are crispy, golden nuggets of gooey cheese goodness that make the perfect party appetizer or snack. Coated in a flavorful breadcrumb mixture and fried to perfection, these bites are best enjoyed hot with a side of marinara sauce.

Cheesy Parmesan Mozzarella Bites:

  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Marinara sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Dredge and Coat: Dredge each mozzarella cube in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat in breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to adhere. Repeat for a double coating if desired for extra crispiness.
  2. Freeze: Place coated cubes on a tray and freeze for at least 30 minutes to prevent cheese from leaking during frying.
  3. Fry: Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry mozzarella bites in batches for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve: Serve warm with marinara sauce.

Notes

  • For a baked version, place bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spray with cooking spray, and bake at 400°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • These can also be air-fried for 7 to 8 minutes at 375°F.
