Ground Beef Mixture:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 (1-ounce) packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup canned refried beans (optional)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Dough:
- 1 (8-ounce) can crescent roll dough or refrigerated biscuit dough
For Serving:
- Nonstick spray
- Sour cream
- Salsa
- Guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly spray a skull-shaped baking mold or muffin tin with nonstick spray.
- Cook the beef: Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet, then add taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 3–4 minutes, stir in refried beans if using, and let cool slightly.
- Prepare the dough: Unroll crescent or biscuit dough, press seams together, and cut into 6 pieces. Press one piece into each mold cavity.
- Fill and bake: Spoon beef mixture into each cavity, top with cheese, fold dough over filling, and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
- Serve: Let cool, then carefully remove from molds. Serve warm with sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
