Chicken Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp oil
Pineapple Glaze:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp sriracha or hot sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)
Garnish:
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Wings: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Toss chicken wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Bake for 40–45 minutes.
- Make the Pineapple Glaze: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sriracha. Simmer and thicken with cornstarch slurry.
- Coat the Wings: Toss baked wings in the pineapple glaze until well coated. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, broil them for 2–3 minutes after baking.
- This glaze also works well on grilled or air-fried wings.
