Chicken Wings:

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp oil

Pineapple Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp sriracha or hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (slurry)

Garnish:

  • Chopped green onions
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Wings: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Toss chicken wings with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cornstarch. Bake for 40–45 minutes.
  2. Make the Pineapple Glaze: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, garlic, and sriracha. Simmer and thicken with cornstarch slurry.
  3. Coat the Wings: Toss baked wings in the pineapple glaze until well coated. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, broil them for 2–3 minutes after baking.
