These Bang Bang Chicken Skewers are a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory flavors. Tender chicken marinated and grilled to perfection, then coated in a creamy and tangy bang bang sauce. A crowd-pleasing appetizer or main course that’s sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish

Additional:

  • Skewers (wooden skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes if grilling)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, toss chicken cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Skewer the Chicken: Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  3. Grill the Skewers: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey.
  5. Coat the Chicken: Brush grilled skewers with the bang bang sauce or drizzle over the top.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha to control the heat level according to preference.
  • Skewers can also be baked in a 400°F oven for 15–18 minutes, turning halfway through cooking.
  • Serve with rice, salad, or as part of a party platter for a complete meal.
